Heather Bashow

Heather Bashow has always seen the world as though through a lens, and is uncomfortable without her camera. Married to a now retired fighter pilot, she has lived across Canada, in Phoenix, Colorado Springs, and Europe, where her cameras never left her side.

Over the years, she has won several awards, written articles for photography magazines, and has run clinics in Ontario and Quebec, mostly on fast action photography, where she specializes. As a motorcycle race photographer, she is known across Canada, with her images used by Honda and other manufacturers, as well as Canada’s top racers.

Living in Eastern Ontario, she shoots anything that she finds is beautiful. Commercially, she shoots some weddings (if she feels the stars will align), motorcycle racing, horse shows, and canine.

She shoots canine images on her 72 acre farm, in all four of Canada’s beautiful seasons. The farm’s wildflower fields, autumn colour, her 3-season gardens and a pond give her a wide choice of venues each season. She has owned several dogs, both purebred and mixed breed rescues. Her current dog is a brilliant tricolor Australian Shepherd.
