5 Exceptionally Stubborn Dog Breeds

It can happen to the best of us. Sometimes you come home and your dog starts pawing at you fiercely. Whatever you do, your lovely dog doesn’t stop doing exactly the opposite of what you expect of him.

Visitors come to the house and your dog barks non-stop, and none of your efforts would stop your furry friend from disturbing the whole neighborhood.

If you’ve ever tried to wash your dog and he just won’t get in the bathtub, then you know exactly how a stubborn a dog can be. Perhaps yours might be amongst the extremely stubborn breeds.

It’s frustrating when you can’t bring your dog to order. This is the one moment in a dog owners life with their lovely pet where they wish they can miraculously perform some form of magic to make their dog do their bidding.

Sometimes your dog won't stop growling, whining or even biting. These dog breeds are notoriously known for putting up stubborn behavior:

1. Akita

Akitas are strong dog breeds that were originally bred as guard dogs. Because of this, they have a fierce and strong-will personality. They’re are friendly but that doesn’t mean they’ll strictly adhere to every instruction of their owners.

If they deem an activity to be ‘worthless’, they won’t hesitate to walk away. When Akitas are not well socialized, they become aggressive towards visitors that come to your home and to other dogs.

2. Beagle

Beagles make great family dogs. But because of their hunting instincts, they tend to ignore their owner's commands and chase other smaller animals like squirrels if there’s any around.

They’re also known for their keen sense of smell. So unless you have something better to destruct them, they’ll rather sniff towards the sweet smell that has their attention.

3. Dachshund

Dachshunds love to own their space. They’re aggressively protective towards their owners and the ones they love. If they see other dogs invading their turf, they’ll react and nothing you’ll do can stop them from backing off.

4. Siberian Husky

Huskies are one of the beautiful dog breeds to grace the face of the earth. They’re known to throw a fit of rage when they don’t get their way. Huskies will howl, moan, bark aggressively and do whatever will make their owners uncomfortable until they get their way or what they want.

You can’t easily get Huskies to calm down when they’re throwing tantrums.

5. English Bulldog

These adorable dog breeds are quite fun to have around and cuddle. The unfortunate thing is that for some reason if they really don’t want to do something, nothing you’ll do will make them change their minds. Well, if you really love the English bulldog and want to get one as a family dog, then make sure to get a pup and train before it grows. Otherwise, Good luck getting it to do what it’s not interested in or doesn’t like doing like taking baths.
