Herculean Effort

Hi Everyone, My neighbor loves Halloween more than any other holiday. Her feeling is that Halloween offers more opportunity for creativity than any other holiday...a sort of anything goes. One can go for the macabre, the cute, the scary or just seasonal decor. Within each of these categories you can create and take the theme to its extremes.

Autumn with Audubon

Dear Friends, It is during this time of year when the days are a bit cooler and the leaves are turning a riot of color, that we like to visit the parks and preserves in our area. While these are wonderful places to visit in the summertime, in fall they are much less crowded and there is much more to see.

After School Activities

Hi Everyone, Now that the weather has turned colder, there are more days when it isn't possible to have play dates outdoors. It seems that once Tucker hit first grade, play dates, or having friends over, is almost a daily occurence. Finding things for kids to do is always a challenge especially since I'd like to keep them away from video games and do something that requires kids to interact and to think. They can do the video game thing alone.

Love Notes

Dear Friends, Dear Friends, Today is our anniversary. It is hard to remember what life was like before my husband as this is the year that I've been married longer than I was single. They've been really good years though, ones I wouldn't want to trade for anything.

Downton Dates

Hi Friends, As a confirmed Downton Abbey fan, I was happy to see that the Downton engagement planners are available for 2015. It is such a well-written show, that I am glad that this planner is including the best lines on each weekly page. I find that I have to rewind the episode in order for the wit behind some lines to become clear to me. Especially with Violet, the lines keep coming and are delivered so wryly, that they are easy to miss.

Big Print

Hi Everyone, My mother-in-law, whom I get along with very well, is starting to lose her eyesight little by little. Nothing wrong really other than getting older. It's something we will all go through one day.
